Kendana Collaborates with FSTEP to Empower Caregivers
Kendana Malaysia has partnered with the Financial Sector Talent Enrichment Programme (FSTEP) to elevate caregiving standards and support caregivers in Malaysia. This collaboration focuses on standardising training, fostering community networks, and enhancing caregiver recognition through innovative strategies such as workshops and certification programmes.
As part of this partnership, Kendana and FSTEP recently joined a significant event at the Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Malaya (Golden Year Golden Care)- Empowering senior and caregivers. The event served as a platform to honour the invaluable contributions of informal caregivers, fostering networks among caregivers, seniors, and the broader community. During the event, Kendana and FSTEP distributed specialised Caregiver Toolkits designed to equip informal caregivers with essential resources to enhance the quality of care. These toolkits are part of an ongoing effort to bridge the gap between informal caregiving and professional standards, providing practical tools and guidance to support caregivers in their crucial roles.
The event highlighted key topics, including "Music as Medicine," financial solutions for caregiving, and caregiving demonstrations. Guest of Honour YB Dr Zaliha binti Mustafa underscored the significance of collaborative efforts in advancing caregiving in Malaysia.
This partnership reaffirms Kendana’s commitment to building an inclusive healthcare ecosystem where caregiving is valued and central to Malaysia's ageing population strategy.
